Answers to the questions people ask most.

How do I open ClipUp on my Mac?

Press ⇧⌘V in any app. You can change the shortcut in Settings → Shortcuts, or open ClipUp from its icon in the menu bar.

Why does Return copy instead of paste?

To paste straight into the app you were using, ClipUp needs Accessibility access. Open System Settings → Privacy & Security → Accessibility and turn on ClipUp. Until then, Return copies the item and you press ⌘V yourself.

How does Paste Stack work?

Press ⇧⌘C to start, then copy the things you need in order. Each ⌘V pastes the next one. ⌥⌘V skips an item and ⇧⌘C ends the stack.

How do I turn on the ClipUp keyboard?

On iPhone or iPad, open Settings → General → Keyboard → Keyboards → Add New Keyboard and choose ClipUp, then tap ClipUp and turn on Allow Full Access so it can read your history. Switch to it with the globe key.

ClipUp didn’t keep something I copied.

ClipUp skips passwords and anything an app marks as private or temporary, copies from apps you ignore, and everything copied while recording is paused. Check Settings → Privacy and Security.

Can I move my history to another Mac?

Your history is one file on your Mac and stays there. Sync between devices isn’t available yet.
